Cue A/W 2012

This is the A/W 2012 collection by Cue. The thing I love about this brand is that they're consistent, season after season they produce really wearable fashion. Clothes that are practical and edgy and feminine and just generally awesome. I remember when I was little I used to wander around the Cue display at Myers and tell my mum when I grew up, those were the clothes I'd wear, so I always get a little excited when I walk through them now knowing I can actually wear them.
Anyhow, I really like the sharp look about this season, there are some real power pieces mixed in there. The collection is very feminine in the most modern way possible- a reflection of the 21st century woman I think, in control of herself entirely.

Sass and Bide A/W 2012, "Seekerstate"

Okay so I know this is a very, VERY picture heavy post (understatement) but just looooook at all those beautiful clothes! These are a few most of the images from Sass and Bides A/W 2012 lookbook called "Seekerstate." I want every jacket and every pair of pants featured in all of the above. Dream on, I know, but dream I will! Everything is just so colourful and exuberant, even the black and whites. I especially like the forest and woodland in the background. Nature is usually the signpost of spring and summer campaigns but those brazen rays of sunlight filtering awkwardly through the canopy have me thinking of crisp, autumn and winter mornings, golden and hurried.

Zimmermann 2012

Yeah yeah, I know, I haven't posted anything substantial in forever but in my defence, being a newby 1st year in university has got me being all goody-two-shoes about everything which means I have very little time between my job and my study.  Okay so I exaggerate a bit, I'm not that good about my uni work, after all I like to spell study like this: P-R-O-C-R-A-S-T-I-N-A-T-E. Rest assured what little time I do have is spent is wasted away on the internet, watching trailers for movies I'll never see but will invariably write on the "must see" list in the back of my notebook. Also: the fridge, the blogs, the television, the pet bird, the dancing in undies to music I can't mention because I'm not 14 anymore and won't be taken seriously.

So there is an actual point to this post. All of the pictures accompanying it are from the Zimmerman 2012 campaigns. The S/S collection called "Halcyon Days" are pictured below and the A/W "Rebellion is the Night" campaign is pictured above. How sweet are those floral prints and the varying lace and crochet pieces? And I love the breezy look of the S/S line and the silky, elusive look of the A/W. I think it's interesting when both collections are viewed in conjunction to see how floral prints were used in both but so differently each time. I'm not sure if I'd wear some of these pieces; the silhouettes, especially in the S/S line would look horrid on my body shape. Still, it's always fun to look! Anyway, enjoy lovelies.

I'll try to be better about posting :)
A.
